Live your best life

When Steve Jobs died, this quote was everywhere:
 
“Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

What struck me, so deeply, about these words from this great man, was the parallel to the words of another great man, my guru, my teacher, Bikram Choudary:
 
"You have nothing to lose, because you never had anything to begin with."

You are already naked. What are you waiting for? Bikram says you are in this world to find out what you are here for. Yoga is to help you find that out. By the end of your life, if you know that, you have had a successful life.

Think you are too old, too sick, too stiff, too sore, too embarrassed? How can you shrink away in the shadow of these great people? How can you shrink away in the face of your own great soul?
