BEFORE YOU COME, PREPARE

First check on classes, especially during icy conditions 

PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK ONLINE WHEN PLANNING TO COME TO CLASS. IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR A CLASS AND IT GETS CANCELLED, YOU SHOULD GET AN E-MAIL. NOT GETTING E-MAILS FROM US? PLEASE GO ONLINE, AND CHECK TO BE SURE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT.

No matter when you come or whether you are planning to practice one time or many times, please register yourself online. There is a $17  extra fee to register at the studio, but it's free if you do it yourself ahead of time. Make sure you get an e-mail after you register, otherwise you put your e-mail address in wrong.

Dropping in? Please plan to pay in cash. 

Classes are 90 minutes. No late arrivals, no early dismissals. Plan time for travel, and to relax before and after class.

90 minutes in class, all the time getting here and back, planning around your day, yes, it's a big commitment. It will pay you back, many times.  

Always check the online schedule, classes and times are subject to change.

Best Preparation Tips:

  • Hydrate! (Drink water: half your body weight,in ounces, per day. For a person weighing 100#, Drink 50 oz. minimum, per day. 25% more for Hot Yoga. Sip it all day for best results.)

  • Stop drinking water 1 hour before class. You'll be in the room for 90 minutes! You are welcome to bring a bottle of water into the room, no additives and no other drinks.

  • Stop eating, no big meals for 4 hours. Be careful not to have low blood sugar.

  • Please come clean and odor-free -- body, feet, clothing, towel and mat. Keep your mat clean - wash it and air it between classes.

  • Please avoid all perfumes and scented body products, detergents and fabric softeners. Many students have serious sensitivities.

  • Choose any class, all students are welcome to all classes.

  • Come early, especially at first, to get oriented.

What to wear:
  • Comfortable, stretchy, lightweight clothing
  • shorts work best for men and women
  • yoga tops, bra tops or tank tops for women
  • tank tops or t-shirts ok for men (not required)
  • there are dressing rooms, and a rest room.
Things to bring:

  • A yoga mat
  • A bath sized towel, 1 extra for after is nice
  • A bottle of water
  • Cash for incidentals.
  • Credit cards (VISA and Master Card only) ok - for amounts over $10

 Things to leave at home or in your car:

  • jewelry, watches, any valuables
  • chewing gum, food, anything but water
  • your cell phone
  • please - no glass containers! 
Don't stress about clothing! Wear what you have to begin with. You'll  figure out what works as you practice
